Belinda Hulin (Belinda Hulin Crissman) was stirring gumbo pots before she could walk. The Louisiana native has long written about food for newspapers and magazines, and she is the author of five cookbooks, including the memoir cookbook Roux Memories: A Cajun-Creole Love Story with Recipes. She divides her time between New Orleans, Louisiana, and Atlantic Beach, Florida.
